IT Farm Selected for UK Government's G-Cloud Framework
IT Farm, a Manchester based fully managed Cloud Service Provider, has been awarded supplier status on the G-Cloud 9 Framework, the Crown Commercial Service's (CCS) procurement framework for Cloud-based computer services, hosted via the Digital Marketplace.
A place on the G-Cloud 9 supplier list enables IT Farm to supply the public sector with their range of Cloud Services.
The G-Cloud Framework, around since 2012 and now in its ninth iteration, is a CCS initiative aimed at easing the procurement of Cloud Computing services by public sector bodies.
In order to qualify for inclusion on the G-Cloud Framework, organisations need to prove that they are a suitable and secure provider and list details on their products and pricing. At the same time, it provides a boost to businesses that qualify as it presents the opportunity for them to advertise their services to a wide range of interested public sector bodies. Likewise, it proves to those private sector organisations looking to migrate to the Cloud that they are a trusted and reliable Cloud provider.
“Being awarded supplier status on the G-Cloud Framework is a testament to how hard the team has worked, not only in completing the application process but in building IT Farm’s reputation as a reliable and secure Cloud Service Provider. The criteria for being accepted onto the framework ensures that only those who provide the highest levels of security and support are selected due to the sensitive information they hold and the importance of keeping these public sector bodies running smoothly. We are extremely proud to have been selected to deliver our secure Cloud Services to public sector bodies and other government run organisations” said Dr James Huntington, IT Farm’s Managing Director.
Established in 2005 by a team of corporate IT professionals headed up by Dr James Huntington, IT Farm was one of the first specialist Cloud Computing Providers in the UK.
Today, as a Microsoft and Citrix Certified Hosting Partner, offering ISO 27001 and ISO 27017 compliant services and partnering with numerous sector specific technology providers, IT Farm continually deliver outstanding services to companies where productivity, client service, data security and compliance are key.
